What a sod cutter does

A CLEANER WAY TO REMOVE AN OLD LAWN

A commercial sod cutter uses a powered blade to slice beneath existing grass and its shallow root layer. Our crew lifts the cut turf in strips, loads it, and hauls it away. This leaves a much cleaner surface for the new Bermuda than laying sod over existing grass.

If the soil underneath is uneven, compacted, washed out, or needs imported topsoil, we will explain the additional preparation before work begins.
